Shipping!
With a full-time school schedule and another job, orders are shipped out USPS priority on either Monday or Tuesday following the order confirmation. Orders shipped late in the week are much more likely to sit on a truck or in a warehouse over the weekend, potentially exposing them to high or low temperatures. If an order is specially requested to ship over the weekend, the live arrival is voided unless a surcharge is paid for overnight/Next-day shipping.
Plants are guaranteed to arrive alive under certain provisions:
It is the responsibility of the buyer to check weather trends for both Salt Lake City, Utah, and their shipping address before placing the order. If you would like an order to be held before shipping, I'm more than happy to do that if you ask. Plants shipped when exposed to dangerously low temperatures without a heat pack will not be covered by the live arrival guarantee.
Plants shipped through areas with extremely high temperatures and suffer heat damage are not covered. In the event that I offer specialty or high-dollar plants that are susceptible to heat damage even under 'normal' temperatures, exceptions to the policy will be made on a case-by-case basis. In the event of extreme high temperatures in either SLC or anywhere along the shipping route, orders can be held indefinitely before shipping. If a hold is not requested, it is assumed that the buyer has confirmed safe shipping temperatures and has approved shipment on a normal schedule.
Plants that arrive damaged due to package damage, improper handling, or errors on my part due to dry conditions, improper packing, or the remote possibility of damage to the plant in the packing process will be entirely covered. To the satisfaction of both the owner and customer, a refund will be made either through direct refund, or a replacement of the same plants.
TO INITIATE A REFUND:
Contact me directly through the website or through classicalcarnivores@gmail.com with your name, order number, and pictures of the damaged plant(s) within eight (8) hours of confirmation of delivery. Plants not collected promptly after delivery run the risk of additional exposure to sun, heat, cold, or theft that is outside the scope of my control and the control of the shipping provider. When in doubt, contact me so that we can make sure your order arrives and thrives in your care. If there are any questions about the condition of the plant, I'm happy to answer them and document any damage that doesn't result in an immediate plant death, and work with you to ensure that it survives or can be replaced.
